Privacy and Cookie Policy
Effective: August 18, 2026 Last updated: August 18, 2026
Our Privacy Position
- We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration.
- We do not rent customer or mailing lists or run cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Reign Delay does not transmit your audio or DAW project content during ordinary activation or license validation.
- We use information to run the business you asked us to run: products, licenses, orders, studio work, support, forums, security, and lawful communications.
Some information must be processed by companies that provide hosting, payments, spam protection, email, shipping, file transfer, or embedded media. This Policy identifies those disclosures and explains your choices.
Deadly Mix Productions LLC, a Michigan limited liability company doing business as Deadly Mix Studios (“Deadly Mix Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy and Cookie Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use:
- deadlymixstudios.com and its pages, store, forums, forms, and customer portal;
- Reign Delay software, installers, license services, trials, activations, and support;
- our recording, mixing, mastering, Dolby Atmos, restoration, production, and related studio services;
- our online store, merchandise fulfillment, email communications, and other services that link to this Policy.
This Policy is a notice about our practices. It is not a request for permission to collect information that applicable law allows us to process on another legal basis, and it does not override any rights provided by law.
1 Privacy Summary and Notice at Collection
Our position is straightforward:
- We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration.
- We do not rent customer or mailing lists.
- We do not run cross-context behavioral advertising or disclose personal information to third parties for that purpose.

- We disclose information to service providers only for specific business purposes described in this Policy, or when required by law, involved in a business transfer, or directed by you.
- Reign Delay does not transmit the contents of your audio recordings, sessions, mixes, masters, or projects during ordinary license activation or validation.
- We do not use customer audio, project files, private support materials, or private communications to train generative artificial-intelligence models.

2 Who Controls Your Information
The controller or business responsible for the practices described in this Policy is:
Deadly Mix Productions LLCDoing business as Deadly Mix Studios
13484 Fordline
Southgate, MI 48195
United States
Privacy and Legal: software@deadlymixstudios.com
Customer Support: support@deadlymixstudios.com
Studio Services: studio@deadlymixstudios.com
When a business customer hires us to process recordings or other materials primarily on that customer’s instructions, the business customer may be the controller and we may act as its service provider or processor for that material. Questions about a business customer’s independent use of your information should be directed to that customer.
3 How We Collect Information
We collect personal information from:
- You, when you create an account, buy or activate software, place an order, submit a form, subscribe to email, post in a forum, contact support, book studio services, upload files, or communicate with us.
- Your device or software, when our website, Reign Delay, or the license portal sends technical information needed to establish a session, validate a license, secure a transaction, or diagnose a problem.
- Service providers, such as payment status from Stripe or shipping status from Printify.
- Businesses and collaborators, when an authorized client, reseller, rights holder, or collaborator purchases a license or service for you or adds you to a project.
- Public sources, such as information you intentionally publish in our forum or on public professional pages.
Please do not provide personal information about another person unless you are authorized to do so.
4 How and Why We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and administer customer, forum, and license accounts.
- Verify email, authenticate users, reset passwords, and secure accounts.
- Process purchases, subscriptions, rent-to-own plans, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, and related transactions.
- Issue, activate, validate, deactivate, restore, and support software licenses and trials.
- Detect duplicate or abusive trial requests, license misuse, fraud, spam, malicious activity, and other threats.
- Provide downloads, updates, documentation, support, studio work, project delivery, community features, and merchandise fulfillment.
- Respond to questions, complaints, privacy requests, and support inquiries.
- Send transactional or service messages such as receipts, verification messages, security alerts, project updates, and material changes to terms.
- Send marketing only where permitted by law and, where required, after affirmative opt-in.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, test, and improve products and services using operational information, feedback, and aggregated or de-identified information.
- Enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, maintain legal records, and complete legitimate business transactions.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests, or consent, depending on the purpose. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5 Reign Delay Software, Accounts, and License Validation
Reign Delay requires initial and periodic online license validation. Depending on the action, the software or customer portal may process:
- account ID and email address;
- credentials during sign-in, transmitted over an encrypted connection, with only a one-way password hash stored on our server;
- product, edition, license, order, and entitlement identifiers;
- a generated machine identifier derived from device and operating-environment information;
- the computer name or nickname shown for activation management;
- operating system, software version, plugin format, and limited technical information;
- activation, deactivation, validation, suspension, expiration, and payment-standing status;
- timestamps, IP address, user-agent information, token identifiers, and security or audit records.
We use this information to authenticate accounts, enforce activation limits, administer trials and paid licenses, restore entitlements, confirm rent-to-own or subscription standing, investigate abuse, and provide support.
What Reign Delay does not send: The plugin does not include an advertising SDK and does not transmit your audio, DAW sessions, presets, mixes, masters, or project content during ordinary activation or validation. Material you voluntarily send to support is processed as a support submission.
Some license information is stored locally so the software can remember activation state and operate during permitted offline periods. Removing local license data does not necessarily delete the corresponding server-side entitlement or audit record.
6 Store, Payments, Rent-to-Own, and Fulfillment
Our store uses WooCommerce. Orders may include contact, billing, shipping, account, order, tax, coupon, refund, and transaction information needed to complete and document the purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives payment-method information, contact and billing details, transaction details, IP address, device information, and fraud-prevention signals. Deadly Mix Studios does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code. We receive references and statuses needed to confirm payment, manage subscriptions or rent-to-own plans, issue refunds, and reconcile records. Stripe may act as our service provider and, for payment-network, fraud, or legal obligations, as an independent controller.
For physical merchandise, Printify and its production or shipping partners may receive the recipient’s name, contact information, shipping address, ordered items, and order or print information needed to calculate shipping, manufacture, deliver, replace, or refund the order.
7 Studio Services and Project Files
Studio-service inquiries and projects may include your name, artist or business name, contact details, project title, quote or scheduling information, service selections, credits, notes, recordings, sessions, stems, reference files, artwork, scripts, and other materials you provide.
We use project materials only to evaluate the request, perform the requested work, communicate, deliver files, maintain quality and business records, and exercise or defend legal rights. We do not publish project materials, use them in a portfolio, or use them to train generative AI without separate authorization from a person with authority to grant it.
Large uploads may be submitted through Dropbox File Requests, EngineEars.com, or another identified transfer provider. That provider also processes the files under its privacy and security terms. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, our service is not a permanent archival or backup service; customers should retain their own source and final files.
8 Forms, Email, Support, Forums, and Public Content
Contact and support forms may collect submitted fields, the source page, submission time, IP address, browser or device information, and spam-detection results.
We use WPForms Lite and Fluent Forms. WPForms Lite ordinarily emails entries rather than storing them in WordPress. If optional Lite Connect is enabled, encrypted entry backups and related site metadata are sent to WPForms and retained for up to one year. Fluent Forms may store entries, source URLs, IP addresses, and browser or device details in our WordPress database, depending on each form’s configuration.
We use ActiveLayer to screen selected forms, registrations, comments, reviews, and forum submissions for spam or abuse. For a protected submission, ActiveLayer may receive all submitted fields, including name, email, message text, and additional fields, plus IP address, user agent, site and form metadata, processing time, and optional behavioral or environmental signals if enabled. It returns spam scores and risk signals and generally retains detection logs for 90 days, configurable by account. ActiveLayer states that it may use aggregated and anonymized information to improve its detection algorithms.
Do not place sensitive information in a general form. Do not submit confidential project files, payment-card data, passwords, government identifiers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information through a general website form.
Outgoing website email is routed through our configured email provider using WP Mail SMTP. The provider necessarily processes sender and recipient addresses, message content, routing information, and delivery logs.
If you register for our bbPress community, we may process your username, display name, email, profile or avatar, account status, IP address, and forum activity. Posts, replies, usernames, profile information, and avatars you publish are public and may be viewed, copied, quoted, or indexed by others. Account deletion may not remove quoted text or copies made by others. We may retain or anonymize posts to preserve discussion integrity, enforce rules, document abuse, or protect legal rights.
Where WordPress’s Gravatar feature is enabled, a hashed version of an email address may be sent to Automattic’s Gravatar service to check for a profile image. A local avatar may be used where available.
9 Marketing and Service Communications
We may send necessary service messages without marketing consent, including receipts, verification and reset emails, security alerts, license notices, payment-plan notices, support replies, and project updates.
We use Hostinger Reach for email marketing. If a form or WooCommerce checkout is connected to Reach, contact information and form or purchase tags may be synchronized. We use synchronized information for marketing only when the recipient affirmatively opts in or another lawful basis specifically permits it. Marketing consent is optional, is not a condition of an unrelated purchase or support request, and is collected through a separate unchecked choice. Where enabled, double opt-in requires email confirmation before the person becomes subscribed.
Marketing messages include an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing stops marketing but not transactional or service messages. We may retain a minimal suppression record so an unsubscribed address is not accidentally added again.
11 Embedded Content, Fonts, and Third-Party Links
Pages may contain YouTube videos, SoundCloud players, externally hosted fonts, maps, or other embedded content. Loading it can reveal your IP address, browser information, referring page, and interaction data to the provider and may allow that provider to set or read cookies. We use YouTube privacy-enhanced mode where practical, but it does not prevent all transfer once a video loads. Where required, we require consent or an affirmative click before loading optional embeds.
Pages may link to independent booking, social-media, file-transfer, payment, or media services. A normal link does not send the form or account data you gave us to the destination, but the destination receives browser information after you choose to visit it. The third party’s privacy policy governs its independent collection and use.
12 When We Disclose Information
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Hostinger | Website and VPS hosting, databases, business email, backups, security, and Reach marketing services. |
| Stripe | Payments, recurring billing, rent-to-own administration, refunds, fraud prevention, disputes, and compliance. |
| Printify and delivery partners | Merchandise production, shipping rates, delivery, replacement, and returns. |
| ActiveLayer | Automated spam and abuse analysis for protected submissions and registrations. |
| WPForms and Fluent Forms | Form operation and, where configured, entry storage, delivery, backup, or integrations. |
| Email and communication providers | Message delivery, routing, security, and list management. |
| Dropbox or another identified transfer provider | Receipt and temporary storage of project or support files you choose to upload. |
| Google/YouTube, SoundCloud, Automattic/Gravatar, and other content providers | Optional media, fonts, avatars, or other features you choose or consent to load. |
| LiteSpeed/QUIC.cloud | Caching, content delivery, image optimization, or site-performance services if cloud features are enabled. |
| Professional advisers and authorities | Accounting, legal, insurance, audit, court, regulatory, law-enforcement, safety, and rights-protection needs. |
| A successor or transaction participant | A proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or asset transfer, subject to confidentiality and law. |
| Recipients you direct | Disclosures made at your direction or with informed consent. |
Some providers process information only on our instructions. Others, such as payment networks, shipping carriers, and content platforms, may independently determine how they process some information. Their current practices are described in their own policies.
13 Data Retention
We consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, purpose for collection, duration of the relationship, license or contract requirements, security needs, limitation periods, and legal, tax, accounting, and audit obligations.
- Customer account and software-license records: while an account or license is active and afterward as needed to prove entitlement, support reactivation, enforce activation limits, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with law. A minimal perpetual-license entitlement record may need to remain for the life of the license.
- Order, payment-reference, tax, refund, subscription, and rent-to-own records: generally seven years after the relevant transaction or end of the commercial relationship, unless law requires otherwise.
- Trial-eligibility and abuse-prevention records: as long as reasonably necessary to enforce the one-trial rule and prevent repeated or fraudulent trials, potentially for the supported life of the product.
- Routine server, API, and security logs: generally up to 90 days, unless needed longer for an incident, abuse, legal claim, or legal requirement.
- Contact, support, and ordinary business correspondence: generally up to 24 months after closure or the last substantive interaction, unless connected to an ongoing account, transaction, project, dispute, or legal requirement.
- Studio project files: for the project and any delivery, revision, or retention period stated in the quote, contract, or written instructions; otherwise only as long as needed to provide the service and address foreseeable delivery issues.
- Forum profiles and public posts: while the forum operates or until deletion or anonymization is appropriate, subject to thread integrity, moderation records, legal claims, and copies made by others.
- Marketing records: until unsubscribe or retirement of the list; a minimal suppression record may remain to honor the opt-out.
- ActiveLayer detection logs: generally 90 days, configurable in the ActiveLayer account.
- WPForms Lite Connect backups, if enabled: up to one year under WPForms’ current retention period.
When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, caches, fraud-prevention records, or legal holds and are removed or overwritten through ordinary cycles.
14 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and service, including encrypted network connections, hashed account passwords, access controls, software updates, Stripe payment processing, logging, anti-spam and fraud controls, and backups.
No system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. Use a strong, unique password, protect access to your account and computer, and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email, forums, or general forms.
15 Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Know whether we process your information and obtain access to it.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete information we are not required or permitted to retain.
- Receive a portable copy of certain information.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.
- Opt out of marketing at any time.
- Opt out of sale or cross-context behavioral advertising sharing. We do not engage in those practices as described above.
- Limit certain sensitive-information uses. We use it only for necessary service, security, payment, and legal purposes.
- Appeal a denial where applicable and complain to an appropriate privacy authority.
Email software@deadlymixstudios.com with the subject Privacy Request and describe the request. We may request information reasonably needed to verify identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, subject to proof of authorization and identity verification.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. A request may be limited when information is needed to complete a transaction, maintain a valid license entitlement, secure the service, preserve expression, comply with law, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. If we deny an appealable request, our response will explain how to appeal.
16 United States State Privacy Disclosures
For residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, the categories in Section 1 are the categories we collect and have collected in the preceding 12 months where the relevant service was used. We collect them from the sources in Section 3, use them for Section 4 purposes, and disclose them to Section 12 recipients.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run cross-context behavioral advertising or disclose personal information to third parties for that purpose. We have not knowingly sold or shared for such advertising the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not offer financial incentives based on collection, deletion, or sale.
Third-party media providers may collect information directly from your browser when you choose or consent to load their content. Their independent collection is governed by their policies. Where applicable law treats an optional technology as a sale or sharing, we will provide the required consent or opt-out control before using it.
17 EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If European data-protection law applies, Section 4 identifies our legal bases. You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to the supervisory authority where you live, work, or believe a violation occurred.
When we rely on legitimate interests, you may request information about our balancing considerations. When we rely on consent, withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing. When information is required to perform a contract, declining to provide it may prevent account creation, payment, license activation, or the requested service.
18 International Data Transfers
Deadly Mix Studios is based in the United States. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws differ from those where you live. Where required, transfers are supported by an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, a provider’s recognized certification, or another lawful safeguard. You may request available information about safeguards through the method in Section 15.
19 Automated Tools
We and our providers use automated tools to score spam, detect fraud or account abuse, assess trial eligibility, and validate licenses or payment standing. These tools evaluate information such as submitted text, IP address, device or account identifiers, transaction signals, and prior activation or trial records. A submission, transaction, trial, or activation may be blocked or sent for review.
We do not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, or unrelated matters. If a legitimate form submission, payment, trial, or activation was blocked incorrectly, contact support@deadlymixstudios.com for review.
20 Children
Our website, store, forums, software accounts, and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Software purchases and accounts are intended for adults with contractual capacity. A minor may participate in a studio project only with involvement and authorization from a parent, guardian, or other legally authorized person. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without proper authorization.
21 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when our services, providers, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version at this URL and change the Last Updated date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or request consent when required.
